On behalf of Shane Brennan and everyone here at NCIS, we certainly hope you enjoyed tonight's episode. There were many loose ends to tie up for our team this evening and, hopefully, you're all ready and anxious to dive in to what's turning out to be an exciting season to come. As a writer, this episode was especially fun for me because of the added action (How about that gun fire in the general store?! Thanks Larry Fuentes.). And, of course, the significant emotional stakes for Gibbs. Mr. Harmon is a very gifted actor and it's a pleasure working with him. Writing scenes for Franks and Jackson Gibbs to do together was also a treat. Ralph and Muse were terrific. And, oh yes...Who is this man Ziva connected with in Miami?
Here's a little insider tidbit... We filmed the helicopter crime scene and the night exterior at the safe house on the same day in early July. Temperature that day reached about 114 degrees. And in the evening, probably a chilly 96. Kudos to our cast for making it look so effortless.
